NeonExperts supplies exclusively to businesses and visual merchandising companies, so it is relatively common to have professional designers working on the design and layout. If not, read on and find out how you can design a custom neon sign yourself. Contrary to popular belief, designing your own custom neon sign requires no extensive design skill and you can start right away.
Firstly, you’ll want to find out what type of neon sign you want, as well as your budget. It’s important to know that the price of the sign increases as the length of Neon used increases. We’ve made another blog post here to help you find out which type of Neon sign is best for your business.
Sketch your design on a piece of paper, or use digital software such as Adobe Illustrator or the free alternative Gimp. It would be best to export as a vector file (.svg) as our tooling requires vectors for actions such as cutting the acrylic backing using our CNC Laser, or printing out the paper sheet for installation reference. Make sure to include dimensions so we know what size you want your sign to be - this size doesn't have to be exact. You can also give us the measurement for one side and we'll work out the rest.
If you are not confident in your design skill, we have designers on hand at NeonExperts to help you bring your neon signage vision to life. Simply give us a call at 020 8089 1200 ; request a quote on our website; or email us at hello@neonexperts.com for a reply within 24 hours.
